Welcome to the Administrative Services Bureau of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. We are a support group that performs those services necessary for conducting the Agency's financial, Grant, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Purchasing and data-processing functions. The bureau is comprised of the following divisions:
Fiscal - The Fiscal Division is responsible for all budget and fiscal control activities, including a bi-weekly payroll for an estimated 900 employees. We are also responsible for maintaining the budget. The adopted budget for FY2006 – 2007 is $71,616,971.
Grants Coordination - The Grant Coordinator actively researches funding opportunities available through Federal and State grant programs. The Coordinator completes and submits grant applications and ensures that each grant agreement is accurately administered, ensuring all expenditures are within the terms of the agreement and records are accurately maintained.
Purchasing - The Purchasing Division is responsible for providing the Marion County Sheriff's Office with high-volume purchasing functions to support and supply all divisions of the Sheriff's Office and the Marion County Jail. All inventory is accurately maintained by the Purchasing Division.
Human Resources - The Human Resources Division is primarily responsible for recruitment and selection of qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds that represent the community and possess integrity, honesty and a commitment to serve the citizens of Marion County.
Internal Audit – Our Internal Auditor helps the Agency accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
