D.A.R.E. (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) program targets 5th grade students, and offers an educational program in the classroom at school to help prevent and/or reduce drug abuse and violence among elementary school age children and youth. This structured curriculum was developed by health education specialist and teaches communication skills, self-esteem building, decision-making and alternative activities to drug abuse and other destructive behaviors.
