Thank you for visiting the Marion County Sheriff's Office website and our page.

With the shifting of demographics in our community, the Crisis Intervention Unit was developed with experienced mental health professionals to respond to calls for service involving mental health issues, domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse and juveniles.
Our D.A.R.E. and S.R.O (School Resource Officers) not only represent the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, but law enforcement as a whole. Members of the Juvenile Division help maintain a strong working relationship with the MarionCountySchool Board and students while maintaining a safe school environment.
The bureau also coordinates several volunteer programs along with the Deputy Cadet Program, Safe Kids Program, Safe Teens Program and W.I.L.A. (Work In Lieu of Arrest), which offers first time juvenile misdemeanants an alternative to jail.
Again, thank you for taking the time to view our website.
Sincerely,
Major Patti Lumpkin |
