Fiscal Accounting Manager
There is a vacancy in the Support Services Bureau for the position of Fiscal Manager.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
A minimum of five years of accounting/booking and Excel experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Business Management preferred. Able to develop and establish financial policies and procedures. The ability to work independently, with little supervision. Must handle confidential matters without compromising confidentiality. Must work harmoniously with the public, agency personnel and supervise employees. Able to resolve complex accounting issues or assist other personnel in resolving financial issues. Perform any additional duties that may be required by the Sheriff or through necessity of situations.
A brief job description of the position is as follows:
Responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the general ledger. Works under the direction of the Fiscal Director, the Manager directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to efficiently and accurately record the cash receipts, expenditures, payroll, assets, and liabilities of the Agency. The applicant should be a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory, review, and proofing experience. Also assists the Fiscal Director with budget preparation and coordinating the annual audit.
The pay grade assigned to this position is: 10 ($29,915.32 – $53,093.07)
