MISSING/ENDANGERED SUICIDE THREATS

NAME: Baltazar Roman

DOB: 1/7/1974

RACE: HISPANIC
SEX: MALE

HAIR: BROWN
EYES: BROWN

HEIGHT: 5?10?
WEIGHT: 265 POUNDS

Early Friday morning, 5/19/06, Roman returned to his residence intoxicated and argued with his wife. He took a handful of pills, grabbed a butcher knife and threatened to commit suicide. While his wife called 911, Roman left on foot possibly in a northbound direction.

The area where Roman lives is rural with many horse farms with barns and other outbuildings. A search of the neighborhood yielded negative results. A K-9 Unit was able to make a track for a few blocks where it ended. Authorities believe Roman may have gotten into a vehicle at this point.

Poison control advised that the pills he took could cause him to have seizures, hallucinations and a diminished mental capacity. It would also put a person in a high state of agitation, all of which would be compounded by alcohol.

Roman was wearing a yellow colored t-shirt with a pocket, blue jeans and cowboy boots. Anyone who may see him or know of his whereabouts is requested to call the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 732-9111.
