Tonight, Shawn Robert Fackelman is sitting in the Marion County Jail. He’s facing charges of capital sex battery and aggravated child abuse.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office investigators learned of the 8 year-old victim through her teacher. A member of the Child Protection Team, working with MSCO investigators, was able to interview the victim and it was discovered the abuse started in June of this year.

Additional charges may come in this case, because Fackelman may have watched pornography on his computer with the child victim. At this time, the computer is going through a forensic check to see if there are videos and pictures of child pornography in on the computer.
