The Marion County Sheriff’s Office Foundation, Inc. will host its first fundraising event since receiving its non-profit status. This event will be a catered dinner dance at the CFCC Klein Center, 3001 SW College Rd., Ocala at 6:00 p.m. on October 23rd, 2009. Tickets are $25 and will be on sale until October 16. There will be live music by the Sugarbear Band and the menu will include BBQ chicken breast and pulled pork with all the trimmings. There will also be door prizes and share-and-care drawings. Please join us for a pleasant evening of food and dancing. Don't forget to invite your friends to this event.

The money raised during this event will be used to help fund the Sheriff's volunteer programs such as the Citizen Observer Patrols and the Community Crime Watch groups. These groups are part of the over 1,500 volunteers of the Sheriff's Office and are a vital part of the law enforcement team in Marion County.
