At approximately 1:02 this morning, deputies responded to the International Villas apartment complex, 5228 SW 21st Place, in reference to suspect Tyler McPartland, W/M, 11-12-83, pointing a gun at his roommate and making suicidal statements. The roommate was able to escape and called 911.
When deputies arrived and surrounded the building, McPartland began firing his weapon. McPartland then exited through the back door while shooting at deputies on scene and fled into another apartment complex where he was taken into custody.
No one was injured during this incident.
