BIKE UNIT
The Bike Unit at the Marion County Sheriff's Office is a team of 10 certified Law Enforcement Bicycle Association (LEBA) members who are responsible for patrolling various areas of the county on bikes. The unit utilizes a mix of regular bikes and E-bikes, which allow them to cover more ground and respond to incidents quickly.
The Bike Unit conducts various surveillance activities and assists with traffic control for special events. The unit is responsible for maintaining order and providing a visible presence in the community. The Bike Unit is led by Sergeant Todd Winkler, who serves as the Team Commander.
