The Accreditation unit of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office ensures the agency adheres to the highest standards in law enforcement and detention by maintaining compliance with state accreditation requirements. This unit continuously monitors and updates practices to reflect the latest in professional excellence, guaranteeing transparency, accountability, and commitment to our community’s safety and well-being.

Facilities Management

The Facilities Unit manages the planning, construction, and maintenance of all sheriff's office infrastructure. This unit ensures that our facilities are designed for maximum security and functionality, providing safe environments for staff and the public. From new construction projects to day-to-day facility upkeep, the unit supports the agency’s mission by ensuring our physical spaces are conducive to effective operations and community engagement.

Research and Planning Division

The Research and Planning Unit of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to supporting informed decision-making and operational efficiency. This unit is responsible for conducting detailed research, analyzing data, and ensuring that all policies and procedures are regularly updated and maintained to meet evolving legal standards and law enforcement and detention best practices. Through continuous evaluation and refinement, the Research and Planning Unit ensures that the agency remains adaptable, compliant, and prepared to address the complex needs of the community while upholding the highest professional standards.
